Ladies take all three points after coming from Behind

The first team faced Lowestoft today at the Middlesex Stadium . In the 1st half the girls went in 1-0 down after having 4 chances to score! 2 unchallenged headers, 1 by Holleigh marsh and one by Joanne Torr both didn't hit target and a shot by Helen capewell which went over the bar, a Lauren cox effort was well saved by the opposition goalkeeper.
we didn't press the ball hard enough in midfield which resulted in them sliding the ball through for their striker to slot it in after some scrappy defending! we had a positive team talk at half time and pressed the game higher giving no time on the ball - 25yard angled screamer from Katie levelled to 1-1 we scored 2 more from well delivered corners, 1 from Nat Murray and Vicky Birkby (her 1st touch) we had plenty of ball and maintained possession well! Denham had various other chances to score in this period with little threat coming back due to midfield dominating good defending and our hard working forwards, overall Denham deserved to win!
