Ladies Victorious in last away game of the season

Today the First Team had their Last away game of the season with their furthest journey, Lowestoft Ladies. The 3 hour journey each way was most definitely worth it when coming home with all 3 points. The game started slowly and the girls found themselves losing 1-0 at half time.
With some stern words from manager Adam Frailing the girls put in a much improved performance in the second half. The first goal coming relatively early in the half helped the girls grow into the game when the defender was hassled by the forwards and as a result found the ball in the back of her own net. The girls were not done when substitute Lauren Cox found herself one on one with the goalkeeper and a bouncing ball at her feet she lobbed the ball over the oncoming keepers head and into the goal. Every player was giving her all and managed to make it 3-1 with 20 minutes to go when Helen Capewell calmly lobbed the ball over the goalkeepers head.
The girls went on to create further chances but were unable to find the target.
The girls are at home on Wednesday to local rivals Old Actionians in their penultimate home game. Kick off at 7.45 at Middlesex Stadium.
