Under 15's in double digit win

The under 15's faced Crystal Palace at the Den this week determined to carry on with their winning ways after last week's win over champions Carshalton. The girls got the start they wanted when at 5 minutes a through ball from Katie Akerman to Kayleigh Currivan saw her score the first of her 6 goals to put Denham in the lead. However Crystal Palace were allowed back into the game to level the score 1-1. From then on the girls took control of the game. The girls pressed forward, with many more attempts including Kayleigh and Charlotte both having shots saved and Jessica Stickley narrowly missing the goal. Maddie Vilday came on for Jess and within 4 minutes Maddie had a shot just wide of the goal. The 5 midfielders Katie Riddington , Katie Akerman, Charlotte Parrett , Alketa Rragami and Yasmin Garcia continued to supply balls to Maddie and Kayleigh who both then had shots saved. Not to be disheartened Their hard work eventually paid off when when a cross from the corner flag from Yasmin found its way straight into the back of the net 2-1 Denham. Reanna Isaacs came on for Alketa and played her part in midfield supplying balls through the middle. Crystal Palace tried to level the score but Denhams goalie Gracie Perkis was in fine form to ensure the shot was saved. Kayleigh added to her tally of goals to make it 3-1 at half time . Katie A was unlucky not to add her name to the score sheet with three great attempts at goal in 4 minutes. In the second half the girls continued to dominate, Katie R was strong on the wing and chased every ball . 4 minutes in and after Charlotte missed an opportunity to get on the score sheet Kayleigh converted her 3rd for the 1st of her hat tricks. Maddie made it 5-1 with a very well taken goal on a half volley and 3 minutes later Yas got her 2nd goal of the match and Denhams 6th when she played a ball across the goal mouth for it to hit the post and bounce in the back of the net . The visitors tried to get back in to the game but praise has to be given to the performances of the back 3 Gina Lee, Chloe Smith and Annie Walsh, who were formidable. The girls fought for everything and despite Palace trying to get through , the girls were rock solid and won every challenge frustrating the Palace girls. Jess came back on for Maddie and had a shot saved . Kayleigh then made it 7-1 with another calmly taken goal .On one of the rare occasions Palace broke through the Denham defence but keeper Gracie was on hand to save the shot. On 60 minutes Alketa came on for Katie R in the Midfield .
Palace finally got their 2nd of the match when their forward struck a powerful shot from outside the box. The girls were then awarded a free kick when kayleigh was fouled outside the box. Her well taken free kick was saved by the Palace keeper. The girls were looking to increase their lead but Jess and Kayleigh both narrowly missed their shots. Denhams 8th goal came on 74 minutes when Gina played a great ball to Yas who then crossed the ball to Kayleigh who flicked the ball into the back of the net to get her 5th of the match. Kayleigh then completed her double hat trick for Denhams 9th . In the closing minutes Katie A switched places with Kayleigh and on 80 minutes Katie got her name on the score sheet after receiving a through ball from Alketa and put Denham into double figures .The match ended 10-2 to Denham and leaves them joint top of the league after 2 matches. Player of the match went to Kayleigh Currivan. All the girls should be proud of themselves and once again this week gave 100% . The girls face GPR Sapphires next week in the first round of the league cup.
