Girls march onto Capital Girls Cup Final against higher placed Stoke Newington
Girls give solid team performance in 3-0 win
On saturday Denham U15s played against AFC Stoke Newington in the u16s Capital Girls Cup Semi Final.
AFC Stoke Newington are top of Capital Girls Division 1 already beating London Bees earlier in the season and knocking our u16s out of the County Cup.
First half was tight until we were awarded a free kick 20 minutes in, Bianca Cuzaban stepped up and banged it in the back of the net,
1-0 Denham. Ten minutes later Mia Almendros held off two players to bang in a great left foot past the goalkeeper outside the box, Denham 2-0.
2nd half we absorbed some pressure and 4 corners. However twenty minutes into the second half and Millie Congerton scores a shot past their goalkeeper to make it 3-0 to us. The last Twenty minutes there were very few chances and the girls held on to march into the Final!!
