Game of 2 halves for girls as they lose out to strong Balham Team

The U15’s played at home today (20th Sept) after a very bad weekend just gone. We welcomed Balham who are a very good side with lots of quality and pace through the team. Ours girls started really well and played with a lot of passion and looked really comfortable on the ball, we went 1-0 up with Elsie Grover Jones on the score sheet. The girls kept pushing and should have scored at least 2or 3 more before we got hit with a sucker punch just before half time, 1-1. Second half and we went 2-1 up with a great goal from Erin Dennis, then not sure what happened but we seemed to of lost our way a bit and fitness started to show, sloppy passing and Balham’s pace started to show full time we lost 2-5 but have to say it was a great improvement on last week and you can see the girls are going in the right direction and with a bit more hard work in training we will start to see the results.
