Girls come from behind in an impressive display of football

Today Denham visited Portsmouth without the unfortunate Gracie May Perkis (Goalkeeper)who sustained a serious injury yesterday whilst on duty for Reading FC, we all hope you make a speedy recovery!

The canny old coaching team had to 're shuffle the pack due to the absence of one of their first team regulars and it showed in the early stages as Portsmouth took an early lead with a blistering effort from their star player.

Denham galvanised themselves for the battle ahead on a pitch only slightly drier than a paddy field! Extra fitness and ultimately class told as Denham Wildcats purred into an unassailable 4-1 Lead in an unusual game with 3 perfectly 'GOOD' Disallowed goals including another right footed pearler from a bemused Yasmin Garcia blown up by the referee for a 'phantom' offside!.

This League is proving to be of a very high standard as demonstrated again today as a very average u16s fixture was being played adjacent to us on the secondary pitch.

Result: Portsmouth 1-4 Denham
Goal Scorers Katie Akerman, Charlotte Parrett , Katie Riddington and Annie Walsh
