Under 15's Victorious against Wimbledon in Top of of the Table thriller match

After Recently Beating The Norwegian select U15s by a country mile and going toe to toe with Tottenham Hotspur U16s Last week. Today The Denham Globetrotters faced arguably their hardest test of the Season Away to the formerly unbeaten Surrey Premier League Leaders AFC Wimbledon. True to form and their table topping position Wimbledon got out of the blocks slightly quicker than Denham and took an early lead through their leading marksman after a good move and fine save from jess the rebound was tucked away from close range. But Like a finely tuned V12 engine the 'Denham Daimler' soon went into OVERDRIVE.....

Just a few minutes Later after a good spell of possession Kayleigh flighted a pinpoint corner into the penalty area which was met by an Alan Shearer esque bullet header! By the Towering figure of Gina Lee. Well this was to be the turning point in the game and just perhaps the Season as Denham eased through the gears and produced another moment of quality just moments later as again Kayleigh Currivan (aka Stanley Matthews) due to her twinkle toes style of attacking and wing play repeated the corner kick she had produced earlier for the midfield General Katie Akerman to connect precisely with another magnificent header to send the away fans into rapturous applause

We were all expecting Wimbledon to come out all guns blazing and show why they WERE the most feared team in probably the most difficult league in the south of England BUT they were not ready and anticipating the pride of Buckinghamshire's own weaponry as Denham produced a scintillating 2nd half display which saw a Barcelona style of team goal originating in defence before swiftly and smoothly working down the pitch finally culminating in an audacious Andres Iniesta esque flick by the inspiring Yasmin Garcia to pick out the General Katie who unleashed an amazing 'side on scissor kick' which flew over the admiring and statuesque goalkeeper! That moment of pure class seemed to deflate the home side as there was a stunned silence from their camp probably shell shocked as to what the sizeable crowd had just witnessed! The icing on the cake was yet to come as the highly impressive Charlotte Parrett spun on a sixpence about 15 yards out following another quality delivery from Kayleigh and duly dispatched an unstoppable half volley into the top corner with the goalkeeper in full flight not getting anywhere near it. There was also impressive displays from the rest of the girls, Chloe and Kodi in defence with Gina, Julia in the midfield with Katie A and Charlotte, Katie R and Yasmin who both worked tirelessly up and down the wings , Annie who was up front with Kayleigh until late on in the game where she then took on her role back in defence and subs Reanna and Alketa who also worked hard for the team. Jess continued to impress as stand in goalie.

Well I've never seen a venue empty that quickly of home supporters and there was certainly NO Fire drill! The referee blew up for full time soon after and brought this epic 'Escape to Victory' contest to a conclusion. To the famous residents of Wimbledon common: Great uncle Bulgaria, Tobermory,Orinoco and not forgetting Madame Cholet............. Can you hear us? Your Wimbledon team has taken ONE HELL OF A BEATING!
Result: afc Wimbledon 1-4 Denham United. For the first time ever ALL 13 Squad members were Quite rightly awarded the Man of the Match!!!!!!!!!
