Following Last week's momentous victory away to The wombles of Wimbledon,The girls were back in beautiful & familiar Buckinghamshire for a home fixture. Denham had to back that performance up with another against Carshalton today at a packed Den. Denham showed their Quality as they carved open the visitors defence to open the scoring within the first 5 minutes when Yasmin Garcia delicately played in Kayleigh Currivan to finish smartly. Then after a prolonged spell of possession Denham went 2-0 after a magical cross from Wing Wizard Yasmin that was met by a fearless towering header from Annie Walsh. Last Years League champions had no answer to Denham's precision passing and wonderful movement as the home side secured the points with a well taken finish by Alketa. There was still time for Annie to Side step a few challenges before racing into the area and drill an unstoppable left footed shot past the helpless Carshalton keeper to round off another highly polished performance. This team is in peak condition and in top form going into the business end of the campaign. This result almost certainly secures the runners up spot and Certainly keeps alive the prospect of a League and Cup double.
The Girls have grown in stature and have improved technically and tactically throughout the season and ALOT of credit must go to the wily management duo and backroom staff! Let's keep this going!
