UNDER 15's V MOLE VALLEY - DOUBLE HEADER WON BOTH 2-0 & 6-0
The Under 15's travelled to Mole Valley to play in a double header in their last games of the season knowing they had secured Runners up In the Surrey League , but two wins would see them finishing just 1 point behind the league winners Wimbledon. Despite the blistering heat the girls didn't disappoint and dominated both matches . The girls played some lovely passing football showing their skills up and down the pitch. Goalie Gracie Perkis had little to deal with as defenders Gina Lee , Annie Walsh and Kodi Spencer controlled the back line very well. Charlotte Parrett , Katie Akerman and Julia Thurauf dominated the middle of the pitch putting through well timed balls to the forwards . Jessica Stickley and Alketa Rragami whisked balls in from the wings and when Katie Riddington came off the subs bench it wasn't long before she put a great ball over to Kayleigh Currivan to get her first of the Match 1-0 Denham. Maddie Vilday Reanna Isaacs and Chloe Smith and took their turn on the pitch too intercepting balls and again knocking the ball forward to Yasmin Garcia and Currivan up front. Their hard work paid off as Currivan got her second to end the first game 2-0 to Denham. Player of the match was awarded to Gina Lee.
The second game saw the girls play with the same amount of determination and great teamwork , Kayleigh Currivan again got the girls off the mark when she received a long ball through from Charlotte Parrett 1-0 Denham. Yasmin Garcia was then the provider for Currivan when she put through a great cross and Currivan made it 2-0,( this goal was also Currivans 50th goal in all competitions across the season ) . More goals followed , defender Gina Lee certainly got goal of the match when she kicked the ball from inside Denham's own half travelling high up in the air over all the players and finally bouncing over the keepers head into the back of the net. Katie Akerman , Annie walsh , Julia Thuruaf got on the score sheet too to end the 2nd game 6-0 Denham. All the players were awarded player of the match for all their efforts and teamwork. The girls end the season on a high as , as well as Runners up they were also crowned League Cup Winners and had the least amount of goals conceded in the league .
