Girls come from behind to win on penalties and secure Semi Final place

The U13s played at home on Saturday against Stevenage Starlets in the quarter final of the Shield League Cup. It was a really enjoyable, fair and very competitive game, Stevenage took the lead and we pegged them back with a goal from Megan Atwell just before half time. Both teams had chances throughout the 2nd half, the battle continued throughout, but the game finished 1-1 and we went on to extra time. Neither team could secure the winner so a very tense and nervy game went to even nervier penalties. Very very proud of the character and bravery of our girls to step up and take a penalty, they were all very cool and finished superbly, giving Denham the victory 5-4 on penalties, off to the semi finals we go. Well done Charlotte for being superb in goal and making the save, well done Kelsey, Megan, Kate, Kai, Kacey and Lauren for stepping up and securing our semi final spot.
