Ladies put up a great battle despite narrow loss

The Reserves travelled to AFC Wimbledon in the season opener today in the FA Women's National Reserve League.
AFC won a tight game 3-2.
The game was played with great conviction from both teams.
Denham’s goals came from Alice Heady from the penalty spot after Ade Mavoka was brought down and an own goal from a pin point Charlotte Parrett free kick.
The players gave every last ounce of effort they had in them on a energy sapping afternoon and deserved something from the game.
Special mentions go to Keelie Horwood who stepped forward to go in goal and to last seasons U16 player Latoya Gayle-Estava who played in her first senior game. It was also great to see the return of Yasmin Garcia in her first senior game after over a season out after her serious injury.
Well done ladies you done the club proud today!
