Emphatic team display from ladies see them through to the F.A Cup 4th round Qualifying

Today the First Team played hosts in the 3rd round qualifying of the F.A Cup to Ipswich Town Ladies .With a record of 200 spectators at the Den the Ladies didn't disappoint and beat Ipswich in emphatic style 4-1 to send them marching on to the 4th round qualifying. 4 spectacular Denham goals were scored. The first was a thunder shot from Alissa Down from 35 yards , her 2nd goal was scored after the Ipswich goalie parried the ball out for Alissa to get on the end of it and place it into the back of the net. Next up stepped Becca French who also scored two outstanding goals.The first was a looping shot that left the goalie no chance of saving and the 2nd was taken on the volley and shot straight into the back of the net. Every player played their part in a great team performance and the game was played at a very high tempo. Denham goalie Lizzie Rose pulled off some great saves including a vital one in the second half after Ipswich took a free kick which was heading for the top left corner but Lizzie tipped the ball over the crossbar to deny the visitors. The whole team were praised by both captain Jo Torr and Manager Adam Frailing. Jo Torr commended the team for " playing great attacking football and working as a unit for 90 minutes to walk away worthy winners. Manager Adam Frailing said he was relishing the next round of the draw and believes Denham will give any team a game ! It was great to see the 1st Team play a F.A Cup game finally back at the Den after the completion of the long awaited new changing rooms.
