Girls lose to talented and well organised Belles

The Under 13s played at home on Saturday against a very talented and well organised Hitchin Belles in their 2nd, Division 1 league game. Our girls went behind early but battled back straight away to level with a goal from Scarlett Tuckwell. They continued to battle and were playing some lovely passing football out from the back but conceded a fair few chances and went in at half time 6-1 down. The second half followed the first, however much praise must be given to our girls for never giving up, their never quit attitude and resilience is unbelievable but we ended up 13-2 losers today, Megan Atwell getting our second goal midway through the second half. Football can often be tough at times and deal you very harsh blows but I am immensely proud our girls never gave up and kept fighting right to the final whistle.
