7 Goal thriller see's Under 14's through to Semi-Final of Middlesex cup

The girls travelled to Ruislip Rangers today in the Quarter Finals of the Middlesex County Cup . The girls continued on from their winning ways of last week with a convincing 7-0 win. The girls dominated the game from start to finish . Denhams first goal came within the first minute when Kayleigh Currivan received a long ball from the kick off from Katie Akerman . Within the next 15 minutes Currivan completed her hat trick . Before half time 2 further goals this time from Jess Stickley and Katie Akerman saw the Denham girls go into a 5-0 lead . The second half continued how the first half left off, Denham's solid defence consisting of Chloe Smith Charlotte Parrett and Reanna Isaacs and Julia Thurauf gave goal keeper Gracie Perkis very little to do as they kept out Rangers strikers by intercepting every ball that came into their pathway. The team work continued with Maddie Vilday and Jess Carter feeding balls to striker Kodi Spencer who was unlucky not to get her name on the score sheet too. The girls continued to press on and they eventually found their way to the back of the net twice more when Currivan got her 4th and Akerman got her 2nd of the match with a super strike from outside the box. The girls continued to press for another with every girl wanting to get on the score sheet. Subs Cara Fox and Ellie Comerford Atkin played their part and Fox impressed in only her second game for Denham and narrowly missed getting her debut goal. Player of the match went to Kayleigh Currivan . The girls now face their league rivals Kinja in the Semi Finals.
