Another 3 points for girls in very tough conditions

The U12s travelled to Hitchin Belles on Saturday and came away with a 2-1 win . We were a bit slow starting today and found ourselves 1-0 down in the first few minutes. The girls however reacted well and quickly got a goal back from a lovely through ball from Chloe to Ava who, with some individual skill was able to take it past a couple of their players and find the back of the net. We pushed on from this and continued to dominate. Another great piece of skill from Ava opened up some space and she was able to find the net again. Sending us in 2-1 up at half time. In the 2nd half we had to dig in and fight as we were against the wind, and then the heavens opened up which made it even tougher but the girls fought till the end and secured our 2nd successive win.
Thanks to Violet and Amy from the u13s who put in a solid defensive display and to Maisie who played her 1st game of football today, she looks like she’ll be a really good asset to add to the team .
